This Dilbert strip makes a good point. Capitalism can’t work if people (or groups of people, such as in a corporation) cannot trust one another. That’s why we have contracts and courts to enforce contracts, so people can enforce agreements if trust breaks down.

Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and I’m taking my mother out to breakfast. We’re going early, so maybe we’ll beat the crowds. Afterwards, I may be buying an electric guitar at Guitar Center. I’ve been mulling it over for a few weeks. I’ll see how I feel about it tomorrow.
