Today a group of us from the late Modesto Remote Encoding Center had a little reunion at a local pizza place. Of course I took a bunch of pictures, most of which came at tolerable. I’ve uploaded them to flickr, where you can see the whole set. If anyone wants higher resolution [...]

Missed the Class on Camouflage

I’ve taken a number of flower photos and have yet to find anything other than bees or ants in them. There’s also a photo of a cute little frog in a flower somewhere on flickr. I wonder if people ever just stick something interesting in a [...]

And according to the Modesto Bee, the first two same-sex marriages in Modesto will take place tomorrow. I’m awaiting for the fire, brimstone, earthquakes, and hurricanes to arrive, but so far…nothing. I guess “God” doesn’t care.
Maybe We Can Have Our Oil and Eat It Too

Looks like those crazy scientists might have solved the oil shortage and helped to stop Global Warming, as reported at Times Online (UK). A startup company here in California has genetically engineered bacteria and yeast to digest agricultural waste and produce something very close to crude oil as a byproduct. Refine it, and [...]
