I spent a little over an hour tonight working on a benefit concert that a local nonprofit is putting on this 22nd January. We’re bringing the folk musician John McCutcheon to town to raise funds for the Modesto Peace/Life Center. And I’m helping out by coordinating a sponsorship program, which consists primarily in people getting their names in the program in exchange for a little extra money (over the price of a ticket). So tonight I printed out thank you letters to those who’ve ponied up and stuffed them in envelops, along with their tickets. I feel very productive.
By the way, I went to last year’s concert, and it was good times. This year’s concert on Jan 22nd will be at the Modesto Church of the Brethren (2301 Woodland Ave, Modesto CA) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $23 at the door, $20 in advance. You can call the Church of the Brethren at (209) 523-1438 about getting tickets in advance. I’ll be there!
