Here’s something I can use this blog for — posting a daily sketch. I’ve always admired drawing and painting and art in general, but seldom done the work. That’s in spite of aquiring all kinds of supplies, books, and a few DVDs. I think I could learn if a practiced and applied myself, so posting a daily sketch will be a way of getting in the habit.
I did this sketch at work on a piece of scratch paper with a mechanical pencil. I work at night, and there are substantial periods of time when not much is happening. I can monitor operations, give instructions, and be available to handle stuff while doodling around. It’s the perfect time to grab something lying around and quickly sketch it. This glue stick was sitting in a drawer.
